Early Birthday

Daniel has been asking for over a year for "real" cowboy boots. Two months ago he specifically asked for them for his birthday. We decided we would get them for him. Thursday is western day at school and Daniel was treated to an early birthday present. I wish I had remembered last week so that Jason would be here to see his face as he opened his present. He received his boots with special blue tops and a straw hat like daddy's. Mommy could not resist the retro slim wranglers and pearl snap shirt!!! I think he looks adorable.

Soccer


 Daniel started soccer a few weeks ago. He is is enjoying the outlet and making new friends. He had a great game Friday night scoring 15 times and having 2 assists. Here are a few pictures from Monday nights last minute game since we have fair day Friday.

Katin's First Day of School

Katin's started pre-school at Parkway Day School Tuesday. Daniel went to PCDS last year and we loved the school. We were very excited for Katin to start this year. Katin is in a 2.5-3.5 year old class and goes to school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I procrastinated on enrolling Katin as I was not sure we were ready to begin pre-school. We (I with Jason's suggestions) quickly changed our minds as we realized Katin would be without Daniel FIVE days a week and Katin had become more adventurous.Katin is in the monkey class with Ms. Martha and Ms. Renee. Yesterday, I was still unconvinced that Katin needed to be in school three days a week and went to talk to the director. There are no spots open on Tuesday/Thursday and she asked me to give it a few weeks. Katin sat patiently as I talked and then asked to go to class. Clearly this was a mommy issue and not a Katin issue. Today, Katin decided this afternoon to paint his eye lids with pink finger nail polish and I believe he will be fine going three days a week. Unfortunately, I did not get any pictures of the pink nail polish. Here are a few pictures of Katin. I told him we needed to take pictures and he immediately ran to Daniel's room to take pictures by the desk as D had on the first day of school.



My attempt to get pictures outside was not successful. The tongue was out everytime.

First Day of Kindergarten

Daniel has been looking forward to this day since the last day of Kinder Bridge in May. I have not been as prepared. Last night we prepared his lunch, read his new First Day of School book from Uncle Jared, Aunt Kendall and Hudson and set out his clothes. He fell asleep quickly and was up early. Jason, Katin and I all took Daniel to school this morning. Katin screamed and had to take his backpack with him. Daniel did great and was ready for us to leave him, mommy cried a little, and Katin asked to go get Daniel as soon as we left our friends at C.hick-f.i-l.a.

A New Chapter

Today is the beginning of a new chapter for our family- Kindergarten. I have had this blog address for a little over two years and had not managed to post. With both boys in school, I should have more time to update and post pictures.
